Acrylic and nail art brushes
Brushes for acrylic application and nail art, in the sizes and shapes techs actually use rather than a general assortment. A brush is personal to the tech, so salons usually buy per station rather than in bulk.
For acrylic, brush size determines how much product a tech can carry in a bead and therefore how fast a set goes on — larger for speed on full sets, smaller for control on detail and around the cuticle. For art, the useful distinction is between liners for line work and flats for blending.
Brush care is what determines how long they last: monomer left in the ferrule is the usual cause of a brush splaying, so cleaning between clients matters more than the initial cost. Related products sit in acrylic powder, liquid and nail art.
For the wider consumable range see tools and accessories. Monomer and other liquids are chemical products — follow the manufacturer's directions and safety data sheet, and work within your state board's rules.
