Salon lotions and massage products
Lotions, creams and massage products used at the end of manicure and pedicure services. Consumed per client, sold by the bottle or by the gallon depending on whether they are back-bar or retail.
The format decision follows use. Gallon and larger formats are considerably cheaper per ounce and suit back-bar dispensing; retail-sized bottles carry a margin and give clients something to take home after a service they enjoyed. Salons commonly stock the same scent in both.
Related treatment products sit in spa care, cuticle oil and scrubs, masks and soaks. Larger formats are stocked in gallon formats.
Follow the manufacturer's directions for any treatment product, and send any client reporting a reaction to a doctor.
Scent selection is worth thinking about across the whole floor rather than product by product. A salon running four competing fragrances at once can be overwhelming in a small space, and clients notice. Most salons settle on one or two signature scents for back-bar and keep the variety in retail instead.
Related products sit in spa care and masks, and bulk formats in gallon formats.
