About DND Dip

How the DND dip system is put together

DND builds its dip range on one repeating format: colored powder in a jar, backed by the liquid steps that set it. Shades run under two labels, the original DND Dip line and the DND DC Dip line, and both are numbered as well as named, as with DND Dip 807 Cotton Candy and DND DC Dip 057 White Bunny, both listed at 1.6 oz. Once a station knows its regulars, reordering by number is faster than hunting shade names. Other DND formats live in the full DND collection.

Order the liquids on their own line

The system steps are sold separately in 0.5 oz bottles: DND DC Dip Step 2 Gel Base and DND DC Dip Step 3 Activator. Every color in the line runs through those same steps, so the bottles turn over on their own schedule, independent of which shades are moving. Count them separately when you reorder instead of assuming a color order covers you. Follow DND’s printed directions and SDS for each liquid, and your state board’s rules for how dip services are performed.

What salons add to a dip order

  • Shaping and smoothing — dip services take filing and buffing, so files and buffers get consumed alongside the powder.
  • Matching formats — if you would rather buy a DND shade as a matched set than as a single jar, check the DND trios before ordering formats one at a time.
  • Comparison shopping — other brands and jar sizes sit in the wider dip powder range.
