Chrome Nail Powder for Mirror and Aurora Finishes
Chrome is a pigment powder, not a polish. You cure a no-wipe gel top coat, rub the powder into that cured surface with a silicone or sponge applicator until it burnishes, brush away the loose excess, then seal it with another top coat. The powder does nothing on its own; the cured, tack-free surface underneath is what makes it turn to mirror.
The base color decides the finish more than the powder does. The same silver chrome reads like a true mirror over black and like a soft pearl over white or a nude, so one jar covers several looks depending on what you put under it. Aurora and pearl powders behave the same way and shift with the shade beneath them. Two working notes: seal the free edge, because chrome wears off the tip first, and lay the sealing top coat down in one thin pass, since brushing back and forth over the powder is what dulls a mirror.
We carry 54 chrome products. You will also need a base and a no-wipe top coat from gel and lacquer, a lamp from nail lamps, and the applicators and bench supplies in tools and accessories. Chrome layers well over the effect shades in cat eye, and the full range is at nail color. Orders ship in 1 to 2 business days, free over $150 in the 48 contiguous states.
