Gel polish, base coats and top coats
This is the gel category as a whole rather than one brand color line. Alongside the pigmented gels sit the base coats and top coats that hold a service together. Colors get replaced one shade at a time, but a base and a top coat go on every set, so those two are worth ordering by size rather than by shade.
Brands on this page
OPI appears here through its Intelli-Gel line, including entries from its Sheer Romance and Garden Party ranges such as 2002 Bubble Bath and 2007 Funny Bunny; the wider OPI gel range has its own page at OPI gel. iGel and CNC are the other brands in this grid, and the iGel top coat below is one of the system pieces they cover.
Bottle size versus refill size
The iGEL UV/LED Non-Cleanse Gel Top Coat comes in a 0.5 oz bottle and an 8 oz refill. The small bottle is what lives at the station; the refill is what sits on the shelf behind it, so what you replace week to week is the contents rather than the bottle. Non-cleanse is part of that product's name, so read the manufacturer's directions before you move a whole salon onto a different top coat than the one your techs are used to.
Before you expand the shelf
Gel is cured under a lamp, so confirm your lamps match what you are buying and follow the cure times the maker specifies. For structure and overlay work rather than color, see builder gel, and our OPI gel manicure guide walks through a full application. Orders ship in 1-2 business days, with free shipping on orders over $150 within the 48 contiguous states.
