Bottle or bulk refill?
Bottles keep the outlay low when you are trying a brand for the first time, and they are easy to hand to a station. The 8 oz and 16 oz sizes cut how often you reorder the coats a gel service runs through, so compare the per-ounce cost against the bottle before you switch. The tradeoff is handling: a bulk container has to be decanted, labeled and stored, so buy the size you will genuinely work through. Storage and handling instructions come from the manufacturer’s own label and SDS.
Check the cure before you switch
Base and top coats are matched to a cure. Read the lamp type and cure time on the product itself and compare it against the lamp at your station before changing brands mid-service.
